The University of the Virgin Islands Office of Student Activities hosts a dynamic panel discussion

This past week Genevieve Whitaker, a Professor of Business Law at the University of the Virgin Islands, on February 28th, 2018, joined fellow millennials, Michael Pemberton, UVI Student, Richard Motta, UVI Alum, Paul Lockhart, and Anumaat Davis-Kahina for a panel discussion hosted by the Student Activities office at the University of the Virgin Islands Albert A. Sheen Campus (St. Croix). The event was entitled:" State of the Territory Where Do We Go from Here?" The event was held "[i]n [the] wake of the most recent State of the Territory Address, a wave of discussion surrounding the condition of the U.S. Virgin Islands has risen. In order to provide a productive and effective platform for the UVI community to discuss their hopes for the territory..." We provided as Millennials various ideas on how we propose moving the territory forward, states Genevieve. In sum, Genevieve states that "the event was truly empowering and I truly commend the leaders of the the Student Government Association and the Office of Student Affairs, as led by UVI graduate, Kevin Dixon who works as the Coordinator for Student Affairs for holding this event."
